I picked up Learning FreeNAS book about 6 days ago and I could not put it down! I would really take a look at openfiler (openfiler.com) before looking at freenas for integration in an esx cluster. It supports connections from Microsoft Windows, Apple OS X, Linux, and FreeBSD. The book wastes no time and gets to the point fast! FreeNAS is a free piece of software that turns a PC into Network Attached Storage (NAS). Thanks for pointing me to openfiler tho freenas is lil faster to learn off the bat.
